Not all MAGA are as loud as others. Mike Collins is what I consider a quiet MAGA – he doesn’t shout it from the rooftops, but if you’re watching you’ll see that he votes with them, supports Donald Trump and wants to take us back to a time when anyone who wasn’t white and male was a second-class citizen. 

I’m Lexy Doherty and I’m running to unseat Mike Collins and reclaim my district for the people. 

I did what all millennials were told to do to have a good life. I went to college and studied Economic Geology – something I love, something I’m good at and something that would provide lifetime security. Right as COVID began, I turned down a good job with a good company because I saw what was happening in my community, my state (Georgia) and my country. 

A lot of people reevaluated their direction during the peak of COVID. Like them I decided to make a change. Now, rather than making profit for shareholders and watching wealth inequality grow, our climate collapse, and our rights stripped away, I dedicate time to helping children find their dreams and set them on the right path toward fulfilling them. 

But I needed to do more and that’s when I decided to challenge Mike Collins.

I wish I was able to tell you something good that Rep. Collins has done for GA-10, but I can’t.  He seems to spend his time supporting racists on Twitter, starting conspiracy theories about Biden “sending the shooter” to the Trump rally, trading Crypto from the House floor, and generally championing a second Trump presidency. 

Every resource he boasts about bringing to the district are things he voted against.  His positions on abortion, the environment and social services are EXTREME.  

So, I’m asking for your help. I know you get tons of these emails everyday and I’m sorry to have to be one of them, but I can’t do it alone. I can promise you that I will never stop fighting to make Roe v Wade the law of the land again. 

I will bring sustainable, economic development to my diverse urban-and-rural district by working to raise the minimum wage, support small business and ensure that family farms have the tools they need to thrive. 

To ensure that future generations are prepared for the challenges ahead, I will focus on expanding the child tax credit, getting funds to raise teacher salaries and make real investments in mental health care.
