Grants for Dairy Processors & Farmers

The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center has new funding available:

Dairy Product Tradeshow Assistance Grant

A new round of funding is available to showcase and promote regionally produced value-added dairy products at trade shows.

Dairy processors and producer associations can apply for funds to cover the cost of attending trade shows including registration, travel, cost of product samples, production of sell-sheets and other marketing materials, professional branding and design services, trade show booth set-up, and more.

Grants will range from $5,000 to $20,000 with 25% match requirement.  Eligible trade shows must occur between August 2024 and June 2025.  Applications are open now and awards will be made on a rolling basis.

New Dairy Processor Start-up Grant

Open to dairy farmers wanting to diversify by adding processing to their operations, or to new non-farm dairy value-added business.

Funds can be used to buy specialized dairy processing equipment and supplies, improve food safety, develop marketing and branding, expand market access, and develop new products.  Technical assistance or training is required, and we highly recommend working with a TA for business planning or market research before you apply.

Grants will range from $15,000 to $75,000, with a 25% match commitment. Approximately $500,000 in total funds are available this round.  The Request for Applications (RFA) is available now.  Applications are open now through September 5.

These grants are open to applications in 11 Northeast States: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  Please share with your networks – thank you!
