As we celebrate Singapore's 59th birthday, members of the PAP-PCF marching contingent recount personal stories from prior National Day Parades.

Singapore celebrates its 59th birthday this year.

This year at the National Day Parade, the People's Action Party - PAP Community Foundation (PCF) marching contingent will be flying their flags high. Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC Xie Yao Quan ([link removed]) and MP for Chua Chu Kang GRC Don Wee ([link removed]) will lead the contingent.

Four long-time marchers - Salmah binte Sujak (Jalan Kayu Branch), Peter Tay (Paya Lebar Branch), Lee Loo Loo (Yew Tee Branch) and Tan Cheow Aik (Ang Mo Kio-Hougang Branch) - share what motivates to march yearly at the NDP, and their most memorable Parade moments.

A free shuttle bus service recently launched in Marine Parade GRC, MacPherson and Mountbatten caters to the needs of the residents, especially seniors. Most of the funds for the service are raised through donations. Read more.
