I don’t have to tell you
why JD Vance’s past comments about “childless cat ladies running the
country” are sexist and out-of-touch.
But because he’s got a problem with women being childless, you would
assume that he must be interested in making it easier for parents to raise
families, right? Maybe just a little?
Well, he recently voted against a bill in Congress that would protect
access to IVF care federally.
He has voted against extending the child tax credit, which reduced child
poverty by about 30 percent in less than one year.
And in the past, he has described the idea of universal child care as
class warfare on the working class — which doesn’t make any sense at all.
If that’s not rich enough, when recently given the chance to clarify his
comments about childless cat ladies, he said, “This is about criticizing
the Democratic Party for becoming anti-family and anti-child.”
Give me a break. We’re not buying that.
[ [link removed] ]I could go on and on about how Republicans don’t do anything to
actually support families. I’m not willing to accept any of this charade —
and I’m fighting my heart out to pass plans that actually help working
families. If you’re with me, please pitch in
$28 or
anything you can so I can keep fighting in the Senate.

Democrats are the ones fighting for access to reproductive care, paid
family leave, affordable child care, strong public schools for every
family, good-paying jobs that leave parents with time to see their kids,
and a government that works for every family.
Meanwhile if it were up to JD Vance, Trump, and the Republican Party:
Without access to contraceptives or safe abortion care, more people are
forced to give birth — sometimes in situations that threaten their lives —
on a politician’s terms instead of their own. That’s anti-family. That’s
anti-child.
Without affordable child care measures, more parents — especially moms —
are forced to give up their careers because the monthly costs are more
than their monthly salary. That’s anti-family. That’s anti-child.
Without paid family leave, more parents are forced to make impossible
choices between going to work that day so they can buy groceries or
staying home so they can take care of a sick child. That’s anti-family.
That’s anti-child.
Without strong public school funding, more kids are forced to go to
under-funded public schools, where some get cruelly punished for having
little to no funds in their lunch accounts. That’s anti-family. That’s
anti-child.
[ [link removed] ]I’m going to do everything I can to defeat Trump and JD Vance so we can
stop their attacks on families and pass policies that will truly support
the middle class. But to do that, I need your support to help defeat
special interests who want me out of the Senate. Can you pitch in
$28 or
anything you can today?
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
