Fifty-nine years ago this week, one of our country’s most pivotal pieces of legislation was passed — the Voting Rights Act. It’s furthered our country’s progression into inclusivity, outlawing any racial discrimination in voting.

As we celebrate this anniversary, let’s reflect on one of the most important tools we have as Americans: our vote. Voting is how we take charge of our country’s future. Diana understands that every single vote matters, so she is dedicated to expanding and protecting voting rights at every opportunity.

But now, our right to vote is in danger. Recently, Donald Trump told his supporters at a rally that they would never have to vote again if they voted for him this November. Trump’s goal is clear: If he’s put in our country’s most powerful position, he is willing to attack the very foundation of our democratic process.
