Vice President Kamala Harris announced this week that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be her running mate on the Democratic presidential ticket in 2024.

We’re ready to get to work to win the White House, flip the U.S. House, defend our U.S. Senate majority and elect local officials like district attorneys who will defend our democracy.

In 2020, we led a historic mobilization of independent Black volunteers and voters across the country. Together with all of you, we:

- Mobilized more than 25,000 volunteers.
- Held more than 690 community-building events attended by more than 8,000 people across the country, including Black Joy Movie Drive-Ins and member-led Black Joy socials.
- Made more than 525,000 phone calls and sent more than 163 million emails.
- Sent nearly 4 million pieces of mail.
- Ran digital ads that received nearly 96 million views.
- Distributed more than 44,000 PPE units so people could safely go to the polls and vote during COVID-19.
- Sent more than 10 million GOTV text messages to voters, initiating more than 6 million text conversations in key battleground states including Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

All in all, we made 6.65 million voter contacts throughout the 2020 election cycle! We know that we can make an impact in this 2024 high-stakes race to give Kamala and down ballot Democrats the edge they need, but we need all hands on deck to get this done.

By centering community and Black joy, we’ve built an unstoppable movement. But with so much at stake, we need to give it everything we’ve got. We don’t take a dime from giant corporations or lobbyists, so we’re counting on folks like you to help power our organizing.
