Hi John.
I’ve heard from many Kansans who are having a hard time with higher prices on groceries, gas, health care, and more.
That’s why I’ve made lowering costs for Kansans a top priority.
For example, I helped pass a law to cap insulin prices at $35 a month for seniors. I’m also supporting a new bipartisan bill to double tax cuts for childcare. And I’m working with both parties to lower your grocery prices. That includes helping Kansas farmers grow and deliver food more cheaply, and by stopping corporate price gouging.
But I know there’s more to do. So as I keep pushing to build an economy that works for everyone, I wanted to share resources that may help lower your costs.
Please click here to visit davids.house.gov/lowercosts. You can find resources to help lower your costs for groceries, gas, health care, housing, utilities, and much more.
It’s important for me to stay updated on how our economy is working for Kansans, especially for our families and businesses. For example, I was glad to connect recently with the folks at Brown Suga Bakery in Olathe to learn more about their opportunities and challenges. My focus is on concrete and bipartisan solutions to build an economy that works for everyone.
Here are just some of the specific resources that may help you on our web page:
• Groceries and Gas: On my website, you can access resources to save on your groceries and more. We can also connect you with resources to find cheaper gas in your area.
• Housing and Utilities: Find resources to get help with your mortgage, rent, and more. You can also see if you’re paying more than you should on your energy bill and if there are steps you can take to save. I helped pass a law that can save Kansans an average of $500 per year on home energy bills through discounts and tax breaks.
• Tax Relief: I’ve voted to cut taxes for middle- and working-class Kansans because people need help. My website can help you access the stalled tax refunds you’re owed or help you file your taxes for free.
• Bills and Finances: You may be able to locate lost paychecks, refunds, or property you may be owed or consumer financial protection resources. We also have resources for reducing credit card bills.
• Healthcare: I helped pass a bipartisan law to ban surprise medical bills, which has already blocked more than 9 million surprise bills. My website has more on how this law can help you and how to access low-cost insurance coverage options.
Building an economy that works for everyone is my top priority. As that work continues, I hope these resources may assist you.
My job is to serve every person and corner of our district, regardless of party. Everyone deserves a government that works for them – not just for special interests, big corporations, or the extremes of either party.
If you have any questions or would like to share your views, please feel free to contact me.
My warmest regards,
