Friend, I’m writing to you today not as an actor, an activist, or a former (fictional) president, but as a Buckeye – a concerned one at that because Sherrod Brown, one of our state’s great leaders, is in trouble.

You might not know this about me, but I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I had eight brothers and one sister, and our dad was a factory worker – exactly the type of worker Sherrod Brown has spent his whole career fighting for. To this day, when I see Sherrod fighting for Ohioans, I know he’s working hard for families like mine. He makes me proud to be a Buckeye.

But Ohio has seen a dangerous shift in recent years. Sherrod is in the middle of a tough reelection campaign in a state Donald Trump won twice. Experts are calling him one of the most vulnerable incumbents on the ballot this cycle, and I’m determined to do everything I can to keep his voice in the Senate.

That’s why I’m personally asking: Friend, will you chip in $5 or more today to help Sherrod Brown win in Ohio and keep the Senate blue?
