I’m honored to reach out to you on behalf of an Alaska group dedicated to promoting democracy, transparency, and balanced politics in our polarized nation – Build Alaska’s Future Action Fund (BAF Action!).

We are dedicated to supporting and electing candidates committed to problem solving for the American people. Currently, the House of Representatives is more concerned with partisan point-scoring than getting things done. We need to elect more people like Mary Peltola, the nation’s first Alaska Native congresswoman, who are ready to work across political boundaries and build consensus!

As a former local and state elected official and federal appointee, I’ve followed Mary’s career for a long time. In her admirable time as a public servant, Mary has demonstrated sensibility, openness, and hard work on behalf of her community. With extremist partisanship on the rise, we need more officeholders like her to bring reason and collaboration back to our national politics.

Despite Mary’s many hard-won accomplishments for Alaska in Washington the past two years, she faces a tough re-election in August from two Trump-like opponents.
