2023 was the world’s hottest year on record, and 2024 seems poised to top it, according to experts. That’s bad news — as extreme heat kills more Americans than any other weather hazard.

Urgent action is needed on climate change NOW to mitigate the most dangerous effects — and Republicans are doing everything in their power to slow down our efforts, from suing the Environmental Protection Agency to attempting to gut the Clean Air Act.
