Proposition 36 is a terrible measure on the November 5 ballot that would make Californians less safe by eliminating programs that have significantly reduced recidivism and racial disparities across the criminal legal system. If passed, Prop. 36 would sweep up more people – many of them Black and Brown – into the system of mass incarceration.

Big corporations and law enforcement groups have spent millions to get Prop. 36 passed. And they've shamelessly misled voters.
