TELL CONGRESS & PRES. BIDEN: Israel is escalating violence and tensions with Iran and Lebanon, which could lead to all out regional war. Sign the petition: End U.S. funding and weapons support for Israel’s violent escalations.
Hi, Israel’s apparent assassination of the lead Hamas ceasefire negotiator in Tehran last week is the latest dangerous escalation in the Middle East.1 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spent months blocking a ceasefire deal while the Israeli military continues to kill Palestinian civilians and obstructs aid deliveries, which has led to mass starvation. Israel is escalating violence and tensions with Iran and Lebanon in a way that could lead to an all out regional war if U.S. leaders don’t change policy on Israel. Congress and President Biden must use its leverage to end Netanyahu’s violence. America must stop funding Israel’s escalations and stop sending bombs to its military. Netanyahu has proved time and again that he would rather continue bombing Gaza and Lebanon, and give inflammatory speeches in front of the U.S. Congress, instead of working toward peace. As the United States increases its military presence in the Middle East and puts servicemembers in danger, we must tell our leaders that this is not the answer. The answer is ending support for Israel’s escalations.2 Hamas' attacks beginning on October 7 must be condemned but Israel's response has been disproportionate and taken an extraordinary civilian toll — all while America has supplied the bombs and funding Israel has used to kill tens of thousands of Palestinians. President Biden and Congress cannot continue providing unlimited funding and weapons shipments to Israel. Our leaders must stop the bombing of Gaza and the prospect of all out war with Iran.
