My first GOTV as an organizer, I wasn’t sure what was coming. The spring and summer had been a slog. I’d launch canvasses and phone banks with just a handful of volunteers, always a little worried that no one would show up.


Then GOTV hit. Suddenly, hundreds of volunteers were coming to every staging location -- so many we’d run out of canvass packets. Local supporters were volunteering for multiple shifts in a day, and people were even traveling from out of state. Our operations team shipped thousands of door hangers that needed to be organized and deployed to the right precincts. The office was abuzz with energy and excitement.
