Watch Advisor Podesta talk about Wisconsin Conservation's work on President Biden's Affordable Clean Energy Plan!
The launch of this program is a first for the nation. Energy efficiency upgrades are a huge step towards better quality of life for households across Wisconsin and can reduce pollution inside the home, improving health.
There are two rebate programs. Here's what you need to know:
Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) - Available now!
- Rebates between $1,500 and $10,000 for whole-home energy saving upgrades, such as insulation, efficient heating/cooling systems, and more.
- Rebate amount depends on income, whether you live in a single- or multi-family home, and predicted energy savings
- While renters are not eligible to receive a HOMES rebate, you can encourage your landlord or building owner to participate in the program.
- Requires a home energy assessment (low-income households can get up to a $500 instant discount to cover the cost of the assessment)
Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) - Coming soon!
-
Rebates for low- and moderate-income households to install heat pumps and other electrification projects that will make your home more energy efficient
- Renters must receive approval from landlord or building owner to participate in the HEAR program
-
Home energy assessment is not required in most cases, but is a helpful first step to determine optimal electrification purchase
Benefits of upgrading your home:
