John—let’s talk
about scam PACs.

For years, I’ve been ringing the alarm bell about con artists who create
fraudulent political committees that pretend to support grassroots causes
but actually funnel money directly into consultants’ pockets.

Now, the problem has gotten so bad that the Harris campaign is taking

John, scam
PACs lie and mislead to take in millions of dollars from well-meaning
donors to line their own pockets. It’s wrong, it’s immoral, and it’s
harmful to our democracy.

That’s why I’ve introduced two bills to hold these cheaters accountable.
One would ban those who operate these PACs from enriching themselves or
family members with the money they raise. The other would empower our
country’s election watchdog to go after these scammers and shut them down
for good.

My time in Washington will soon come to an end. When it does, I want to
make sure that there are anti-corruption champions in Congress who will
continue the fights that I started. That’s why I created Truth to Power—to
elect the next generation of leaders who will take on scam PACs and other
bad actors.

In many ways, Truth to Power is the anti-scam PAC. Not just because we’re
transparent about where your money goes—to directly support our endorsed
candidates—but also because your contribution to Truth to Power will help
us elect leaders who will put an end to scam PACs once and for all.

January. And when they are, they’ll continue our fight to ban scam PACs
and protect patriotic grassroots donors from dishonest and exploitative
