Sen. Cornyn likes to talk about the CARES Act and its expansion of unemployment insurance by an extra $600/week.

In reality, he voted to strip that $600/week expansion.

He promised that the CARES Act would provide “serious relief” for small businesses with limited bureaucracy.

But the truth is that smaller businesses seeking relief have faced obstacles at every turn, while bigger (what he calls “sophisticated”) companies leaned on their connections to access aid.
