This weekend, Pam and I hosted our annual Harder Friends and Family BBQ in Stockton - this year was our biggest yet with over 500 attendees!
The Harder BBQ is our big summer event where local democrats and volunteers join together to celebrate the work we’ve done - and get energized for the last 100 days of the campaign.
This year, we had a very special guest - Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Hakeem was very kind to travel all the way to Stockton to fire up the crowd. He spoke passionately about why we need to win our toss-up race and do our part to hold the line against Donald Trump and MAGA extremists.
Hakeem reminded us why winning this California seat is so important - democrats have to take back the House and my district is one of the swing races. Far too often, the Valley gets overlooked and feels forgotten, so it was really important and exciting to have him join us. You can really feel the energy on the ground - it was electric!
Today I feel more motivated than ever to continue the work. We cannot let up, even for a second. The wind is at our back - I know we can win this toss-up race.
