Minnesota Supreme Court upholds voting rights law signed by Gov. Tim Walz

  • The Minnesota Supreme Court rejected a right-wing lawsuit and unanimously upheld a law signed by Gov. Tim Walz (D) in 2023 that restores voting rights to over 55,000 Minnesotans with a previous felony conviction.


  • Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris announced Walz as her running mate yesterday. During the Philadelphia rally last night, Harris praised him for defending the right to vote — specifically referencing the Minnesota Voting Rights Act. “As governor, he signed the most significant expansion of voting rights in Minnesota in over 50 years,” Harris said.
