Happening Now: At the urgent request of Butte County Animal Control, we deployed our Disaster Response team earlier this week to provide essential support in response to the devastating Park Fire in Northern California.

The Park Fire is already one of the largest wildfires in California history – spreading over more than 393,000 acres since it began on July 24.
Our team is currently on the ground in Oroville, California, assisting local welfare groups with search and rescue efforts and emergency sheltering of owned pets displaced by the fires. So far, we’ve assisted with the emergency sheltering and care of over 120 animals.

We are also providing disaster response subject matter expertise in the county’s Emergency Operations Center and emergency sheltering leadership.

As our response in California continues to develop, we urgently need compassionate people like you by our side to support our lifesaving efforts for animals impacted by disasters and emergencies.

While we remain in close contact with Butte County emergency management agencies and local animal welfare organizations, we will provide continued support – but we hope we can count on you today.
Your donation can help provide rescue, care, protection and shelter to animals in times of crisis – now and in the future.
