Hi John,
Right now, Oregon has an opportunity to protect a healthy climate future and deliver justice for communities by restoring our cornerstone Climate Protection Program.
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is currently seeking public input on its proposed rules to restore the Climate Protection Program (CPP). This vital program will cut fossil fuel emissions 90% by 2050, and invest upwards of $150 million annually in clean energy projects for frontline Oregon communities most impacted by climate damage. These historic climate and community protections were derailed after the oil and gas industry sued to overturn the program last year– and it’s up to us to restore climate justice without delay.
You have the opportunity to make your voice heard today by sending the DEQ your comments calling for the restoration of the CPP!

We need your help to make sure the CPP stays on track to achieve science-based emissions reductions and deliver impactful investments for environmental justice communities across Oregon. Join OLCV in sending a clear message to DEQ: uphold and restore a strong CPP without delay.
Will you send the DEQ a message today to restore the CPP?

Justice delayed is justice denied. With climate-fueled wildfires, drought, and extreme heat already threatening Oregon families and communities across the state, we cannot afford anything but the strongest climate action. Thank you for joining OLCV in fighting for a healthy future and a stable climate for all.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Scholten
