Can you tell us what they all have in common?
Far-right extremists on school boards and library boards across the country have outright BANNED them, fundamentally limiting what our children can read and learn.
As more books like these are pulled from shelves in schools and libraries across the country, we need to know where you stand on these senseless efforts to meddle with our kids’ right to read and teachers' school curriculums.

Whether you’ve read any of these books or just seen them on the shelf, then you know just how important books like these are to have in our libraries and public schools. The books being banned are overwhelmingly written by women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ folks, and other historically marginalized groups – and GOP school and library board members are doing whatever they can to stifle critical thinking.
Run for Something is determined to restore kids’ right to read freely, taking on extremist groups like Moms for Liberty who are trying to elect far-right school board members and ban even more books. Between our elected library board members and our 50-State School Board Strategy, we’re working to bring an end to book bans by recruiting and electing young progressives who will defeat Moms for Liberty once and for all.
