John, if you haven't heard, I'm reaching out with important news:
Yesterday, progressive champion Cori Bush lost her primary.
A powerful voice for affordable healthcare, reproductive justice, and good governance, I was infuriated to see dark money work to unseat such a strong force in Congress.
This isn't uncommon this year, which is why it is so important to support progressive candidates like myself in this especially historic election cycle. I'll tell you more, but first: will you join my people-powered coalition with a donation today?

John, ultra-wealthy conservative groups have been pouring resources to unseat progressive voices across the country.
FIRST: We saw these same groups pour millions into Jamaal Bowman's race in New York, where AIPAC's $17+ million in spending made his race the most expensive House primary in history.
THEN: Yesterday was a dark day in St. Louis when AIPAC spent $8 million in their efforts to unseat Missouri's Cori Bush.
NOW: I am clear in my resolve to fight against the corrupting influence of big money in our politics. My team and I know these conservative groups have their eye on our race here in Illinois. To ensure that I can defend my seat, we're relying on a strong foundation of grassroots support to defend against outside money.
I want folks to know that even in the face of a MAGA Republican opponent, I will continue to be the voice in Congress they can rely on to 1️⃣ never take a dime from corporate PACs, 2️⃣ combat far-right extremism, and 3️⃣ get to the root of and address our immigration reform issues.
Your support today helps maximize our ability to respond to dark money attacks. With things only going to get busier from here, John, I'm reaching out to ask: will you chip in any amount you can spare to help me defend my seat?
