John, I'm bumping up my last email because, for reasons you can likely guess, I've been thinking a lot about one of my fellow Dads for Kamala: Governor Tim Walz. (He's in the middle-left of my screenshot from yesterday.)

Tim is a great person, a devoted dad, and a leader who simply gets stuff done. Many of the things we're working for in this election — like paid family leave, child tax credits, stronger schools, and lower prices — are things he's already delivered for Minnesota families! I know he can help deliver for the rest of us, too.

So can you chip in to help turn North Carolina blue and deliver real wins for NC families? Step 1 is showing voters how the Harris-Walz team is fighting for them.

The dad jokes were flying. The lawn care tips flowed freely. And a fun, diverse group of father-figures was ready to lace up their bright white New Balance sneakers when I joined Pete and Chasten Buttigieg, Governor Tim Walz, and many of my Congressional colleagues at the first Dads for Kamala call this week!

Cheesy jokes aside, the stakes for our families in the upcoming election are huge, and we need to let voters know that Kamala Harris and Democrats are the only ones truly fighting for hardworking, everyday families.

It was the Biden-Harris Administration and Democrats who passed the Child Tax Credit, lowering taxes for millions of families and lifting millions of kids out of poverty.

It’s Kamala Harris and Democrats who are fighting for paid family and medical leave — and to lower the costs of childcare nationwide.

And it’s Kamala Harris and Democrats who'll keep fighting for our children’s freedoms, particularly our daughters’ and granddaughters' freedom to make their own reproductive choices.

In contrast, Donald Trump and JD Vance want to control when and how parents have kids. And their horrifying Project 2025 agenda would make childcare, healthcare, and everyday living even more expensive.

John, you and I both know that Kamala Harris and Democrats are the only good choice for NC families, but thousands of NC families don’t realize that yet. It’s our job to set that record straight.
