Zoning Justice
New IJ Project Restores Justice In Zoning
For more than a century, the freedom to use property has been eroded through abusive zoning practices that disregard individual liberty and emphasize top-down planning. Since the Supreme Court first blessed the concept of zoning about 100 years ago, modern zoning has morphed into something far beyond its questionable origins, driving up the cost of housing, preventing people from starting businesses, and governing nearly every aspect of lives. We now have 262 pages of records showing a systemic program of pretextual and potentially illegal traffic stops.
