In last night’s primary election, I officially won the Democratic nomination for re-election here in KS-03. Serving our community in Congress is an honor I will never take for granted. I’m honored to be delivering real solutions for families across our state — with tangible results like lower drug costs, good-paying clean-energy jobs, rural broadband funding, and bipartisan action to reduce gun violence. I’m honored to be the only openly LGBTQ+ Native American woman ever to serve in Congress. I’m honored to keep up the fight to protect abortion rights in Kansas, reinstate the right to choose at the federal level, and stop extremist attacks on our fundamental rights. I’m honored to be the only federally elected Democratic representative in the state of Kansas — but you can bet the Kansas and National GOP are going to fight tooth and nail to beat me this year. They’ve been fighting tooth and nail to flip this district since I won in 2018, and they believe this is their year to finally get it done. We’re officially in the General Election. And in a race this competitive, every day, every dollar, and every voter counts.
This is going to be one tough fight, and yes, there will be both good days and bad. But if we stick together and give it everything we’ve got, we will win this race, flip the House, and deliver a pro-choice, solutions-focused House majority for Kansas and for the American people. Thank you for being with me in this fight. -Sharice |
