John,
By now, you might have heard of the Patriot Academy, the Christian nationalist organization that Juan Ciscomani claims gave him “a clearer direction for [his] life” than anything else.
We wanted to share a little more about the AZ-06’s Congressman’s favorite organization. Here are some other notable members of the Patriot Academy:
❌ Alumni Lauren Boebert, a Congresswoman for Colorado who has pushed conspiracy theories and suggested President Biden is dead
❌ Alumni Burgess Owens, a Congressman for Utah who has made racist remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris
❌ Board member Frank Pavone, who founded the anti-abortion group Priests for Life
❌ Founder Rick Green, a Christian nationalist who has compared abortion in the US to the holocaust, punched a political rival at a polling place in 2006, was criminally investigated for illegal lobbying, and called Kari Lake the “best candidate of [his] life.”
(He called Ciscomani “by far one of the most impressive Patriot Academy grads.”)
You can read more about Patriot Academy and its influential members here.
As much as Juan Ciscomani tries to portray himself as a moderate, his voting record and ties to the Patriot Academy make it clear that he’s just as extreme as its other members.
Kirsten Engel is running to be a voice for Arizonans on the Hill, not to push an extremist agenda on her constituents back home.
Will you help our pro-choice campaign flip AZ-06 blue and get Ciscomani out of office by chipping in now? This race is going to be neck-and-neck.
