The Minnesota Department of Revenue is offering a new webinar for cannabis retailers in September.

This course outlines the Minnesota sales and use tax responsibilities for various hemp and cannabis businesses including retailers, wholesalers, and other cannabis license types located in Minnesota. During the presentation we discuss the taxability of sales and the documentation necessary for customers claiming exemptions. We also discuss your tax liability as it relates to business purchases. This is a new industry-specific webinar.

Note: The course is available as a webinar only. We also offer an Introduction to Sales and Use Tax Course [ [link removed] ] that complements this training and covers general information that applies to all businesses.

*Sales Tax Education*

*Continuing Professional Education*
After completing our classes, you may be able to receive up to 4.0 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits in the Taxes ? Technical field of study.? All classes are basic level. Our in-person classes use the Group Live delivery method, and our webinars use Group Internet delivery method.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue is registered with the National Association State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
