In 2018, Jennifer Wexton won Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, flipping it to Democratic control for the first time since 1980.

Winning this seat helped turn Virginia blue. But this year, following Wexton’s retirement, Republicans are gunning to win it back . This seat is KEY to our mission of winning back the House majority in November.

The good news is, last month, State Senator Suhas Subramanyam won the Democratic Primary for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District – and I’m confident he’s the candidate that can protect this seat.

Virginia’s 10th Congressional District is his home. It’s where he got married and raised his family. That means the issues facing this district are personal to him.

In the Virginia legislature, he sponsored a constitutional amendment to protect Reproductive freedom in the Commonwealth, championed workers rights, and led several measures on gun safety laws that have been signed into law.

Suhas has fought tough fights and won. I have no doubt he will do the same in Congress.
