Without emergency funding, the United States Postal Service is at risk of running out of money by June as the economic impact of the coronavirus continues to take its toll. Shortly after, it could collapse. But Donald Trump is refusing to provide relief.
Look, we need a functioning postal service, especially during this pandemic. Americans depend on the USPS to receive their wages, benefits, medicine, and now more than ever, mail ballots to safely vote from home.
By weakening the USPS’s ability to deliver ballots, vote-by-mail will become nearly impossible — which would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters.
That’s why I’m asking:
Will you sign my urgent petition to demand emergency relief to save more than 500,000 essential workers’ jobs and keep the USPS operational? This fight is too important for Trump’s partisan games. Sign if you agree.
We cannot allow the President to leave hundreds of thousands of Americans without jobs and tens of millions without the important services they provide.
It’s critical we do everything we can to keep the USPS functioning throughout this public health crisis and through the November election.
You can do your part by signing your name today.
