I am thrilled to announce my support for Vice President Harris’ running mate, Governor Tim Walz.

I know from his record that Governor Walz will be a dedicated advocate for our families and communities. During his time as Governor he signed paid leave into law so that parents can take care of sick family members without losing their job, stood up for fundamental freedoms and made Minnesota the first state to pass a law codifying abortion rights after the Supreme Court overturned Roe, and established universal background checks for gun purchases. He’s been a strong public servant for Minnesotans and will be an energetic leader in the White House. Alongside VP Harris, he’ll work with Congress to create a fairer, more equitable America for all of us.

I’m looking forward to the Democratic National Convention later this month when VP Harris and Governor Walz will become our official nominees. There’s a lot to be excited about this year, and a lot left to do before Election Day – so let’s get to work.
