Tim Walz was just announced as Kamala Harris’s running mate.
I am ecstatic about her pick of Tim Walz as our VP nominee, and I wanted to write today to tell you why.
Tim Walz once was supported by the NRA - they gave him an “A” rating.
Then, the Parkland massacre happened. 17 innocent people were murdered in a school.
Aftering seeing what unfolded, Walz knew that as a father and elected leader, his foremost responsibility was to protect the lives of children. Conversations with his daughter, Hope, helped him realize he needed to take action.
From that point forward, Walz did what others in politics often don’t. He showed that he truly cared about those around him, and actively fought to pass gun safety measures in his state. He showed that he has the political courage to do what is right - and that he could not be bought by anybody.
Since then, Walz has:

governor

Openly
criticized
the

resulting
in
the
change
of
his

to
“F”

Donated
money
to
families
affected
by
gun
violence
He showed courage and principle, and he’ll make a great Vice President. I’m honored to stand behind him and Kamala Harris in 2024.
