We sent a petition around earlier to save the U.S. Postal Service because right now, it’s in grave danger. It could run out of money as soon as September if Donald Trump refuses to authorize emergency relief.
If this happens, it could mean job losses and wage cuts for postal workers across the country, reduced services to rural areas, and a dramatic impact on our elections as COVID-19 pushes us toward vote by mail.
We’ve set a goal of 5,000 signatures to save the Postal Service, and it looks like you haven’t had a chance to sign. Please add your name to tell the Trump administration to stop using the USPS as a political bargaining chip.
It’s not hard to see why letter carriers and postal workers are so important. They’re putting themselves in harm’s way so that the rest of us can stay connected and receive critical supplies while our country struggles with COVID-19.
