Folks, I know I spend a lot of time asking for your support, so today I want to talk for just a minute about what your donations really do.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned after running for office at the city, state, and federal levels, it’s that to win elections, you’ve got to really reach people where they are. That means having real conversations — person to person — with voters of all kinds (including folks who may not think of themselves as voters yet!).
My re-election campaign is working around the clock to do just that here in Virginia — opening offices, hiring field organizers on the ground, and recruiting volunteers in every corner of the Commonwealth to support the critical work of voter outreach between now and November.
Your donations make that possible—those $5, $10, and $25 contributions really do add up to make a serious difference. In July, more than 17,000 of you stepped up to donate online, and enthusiasm like that can be the difference between having enough folks on the ground to reach every undecided voter or missing out on important conversations.
