On Monday, Hurricane Debby hit Florida. The storm killed at least six people and left more than 100,000 without power across the Southeast. The hurricane came less than a year after Hurricane Idalia hit the same area and caused widespread destruction. Residents of Savannah, Charleston, and other areas in the Southeast are now at risk of dangerous rain and flooding.
Our local Catholic Charites agencies are on the ground providing life-sustaining, including food, water and shelter for the victims of this natural disaster.
