Republican Primary is August 13 but Early Voting has StartedPlease consider Voting for Dr. Michael Goldstein. Information on Early Voting and Where to Vote is in this Article.
August 7, 2024 Recently, the Connecticut legislature passed early voting laws. The problem is that it is quite costly for the towns, especially the smaller ones, to staff all the polling places during the early voting period. Thus, early voting is only at one location at each town whereas voting on Election Day, August 13, will be at your usual polling place. More detailed information is below. The day of the actual primary is August 13. Voting starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 8:00 PM. If you are unsure of your polling location, this link will direct you to where you vote. Please be aware that you must put in your exact name. https://portaldir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx When I placed Joe Bentivegna into this link, I was told that I did not exist (which would probably make many people happy). However, when I replaced “Joe” with “Joseph,” I received the following response. Note that at the bottom is where I go to vote. Early voting started August 5 and ends August 11 (a Sunday). There is no early voting August 12 (Monday) and of course Election Day itself is August 13. The voting times are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM but on August 8 (Thursday), the time is extended from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Here are the locations for early voting for each Fairfield County town: Bridgeport Margaret Morton Government Center Conference Room C 999 Broad Street, Bridgeport, CT 06604
