Explore the latest prison statistics in the Corrections Statistical Analysis Tool [ [link removed] ]

BJS has updated the Corrections Statistical Analysis Tool (CSAT) - Prisoners with 2020 and 2021 prison data. This interactive data visualization dashboard provides access to comprehensive information on persons in federal prisons and state-level data on persons in state prisons. It includes data by age, sex, race or ethnicity, offense, sentence length, time served in prison, and type of admission and release. The tool features pre-formatted charts and the ability to generate custom statistics, figures, and maps on prison admissions, prison releases, and yearend prison population data through 2021.
