Vice President Kamala Harris has announced her running mate pick – and let me tell you, it is a good one. 

He climbed the ranks of the U.S. Military for 24 years, got his education thanks to the GI bill, taught social studies for 20 years, coached football, had lunch duty, and advised his school’s gay-straight alliance. He was a colleague of mine in the U.S. House of Representatives before running for and serving as Governor of Minnesota for the last six years. 

His name is Tim Walz, and he will be an incredible partner to Kamala Harris and an inspiring leader for our country as the next Vice President.

Your donation will be split between my re-election campaign and the Harris-Walz campaign. 

As a member of the House of Representatives, he was a leader on the House Veterans Affairs Committee, advocating for veterans’ health care services, access to education, and more. He cared about the work and was tireless in his pursuit of investment in our country’s infrastructure and making life more affordable for our working families.

As Governor of Minnesota with a one-seat Democratic majority in his legislature, he has provided free breakfasts and lunches to public school students; protected reproductive rights; expanded mental health care for students; expanded red-flag laws; cut taxes for working families, seniors, and students; and more. 

Governor Walz has fought for this country, taught thousands of our students, and moved us all forward through his progressive leadership. 

And he will stand alongside Kamala Harris and help us win the White House this November.

I am so excited for the nation to get the chance to know and look up to Tim the way so many of us have. And I am so excited for us to elect Kamala Harris President, and Tim Walz Vice President this November.
