A NOTE FROM CHRISSY There’s been so much political news lately that it’s easy to forget that we’re also really busy helping our community and advancing policy solutions to some of our country’s big problems. This is why I do this important work so I want to share a few of those things. I hosted U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack in our district, voted against a bill to require everyone to have a U.S. Passport in order to vote, pushed for the IRS to re-open its service center in Reading, and called on the U.S. Department of Education to respond to the student-led social media attack against teachers at Great Valley Middle School. Investigating the Attempted Assassination I was honored to be appointed by Speaker Johnson to join the bipartisan task force that will investigate the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Legislation to establish this task force passed Congress 416-0 which gives me hope that we can do this without the political bias and the rhetoric that has so divided our nation. Celebrating Pride in Berks County The celebration of Pride continued as Berks County saw its 18th annual Pride Fest! It comforts me to know that our district is a place where our LGBT+ neighbors can safely gather as their authentic selves to celebrate the LGBT+ community. As always, I'll continue to fight back against the growing wave of GOP hate so that PA-06 remains a district where our neighbors of all identities can feel at home. That's all, folks! These next few months are going to be jam-packed and I look forward to keeping you updated. There's work to be done, Chrissy
