Dear John,
On this day in 1979, Nan Aron founded the Alliance for Justice to fight back against a growing threat from the far right to roll back decades of progressive advances in the United States. I doubt she could imagine then that the fight would be even harder 45 years on, with challenges from the Right trying to undo the decades of progress made since our founding, and the legacy of AFJ’s work.
But AFJ FIGHTS ON, and we need you! On our anniversary, we are launching a 45-day campaign to recruit 45 new donors to join the movement. If you’ve received our emails, you know our impact: - a more diverse judiciary,
- support for thousands of nonprofits from across the country in fulfilling their missions, and
-
a coalition of organizations from across the progressive spectrum to advance the multiracial democracy we all envision.
