Making and Breaking Down Headlines at Aspen Security Forum

The convening of leaders at [2]Aspen Security Forum in July couldn't have
been more timely—bookended by momentous global and domestic events, the
conversations evolved in real time alongside the news of the day.

Participants included leaders from the U.S. and around the world: U.S.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former U.S. Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice, National Security Advisor of the United States Jake
Sullivan, Singapore Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen, Secretary of the Army
Christine E. Wormuth, Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the German
Chancellor Jens Plötner, Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs
Roger Castens, and many more. Also in attendance were members of this
year's class of [3]Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leaders, an accomplished
group of next-gen leaders in national security and foreign policy.

"It was an unusually action-packed week at this year’s Forum," said Aspen
Security Forum and Aspen Strategy Group Executive Director Anja Manuel. "We
were there to discuss long-term global challenges that demand collective
action and come up with solutions that perhaps would have eluded each of us
alone, but we also ended up having prescient conversations about timely
matters like the Russian prisoner exchange and the upcoming U.S.
presidential election. It was an important opportunity for key leaders to
convene and have critical dialogues on some of the world’s most confounding
and challenging problems."

The conference made headlines as well. Reporters from [7]Axios,
[8]Bloomberg, [9]Fox News, and [10]The Economist covered the events. Be
sure to [11]watch sessions from the event to hear for yourself about the
solutions being worked on to create a more secure, peaceful, and prosperous
world.
