AAAFund Proudly Supports Harris-Walz Presidential Ticket
Washington, D.C. - The Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund) is proud to support the Harris-Walz ticket for the upcoming presidential election.
“Governor Walz’s achievements in advancing the interests of the AANHPI community and his unwavering commitment to equity and justice make him an exceptional choice for Vice President,” said National Chair of AAAFund Albert Shen. “Under Governor Walz’s leadership, Minnesota established inclusive state policies, protected AANHPI-owned businesses by offering grants and resources to help them navigate economic challenges, and made strides in promoting equity with increased funding for schools in underserved areas. Together with Vice President Harris, they form a team that represents the best of America.”
During his tenure, Walz established the Governor’s Community Council on Inclusion and Equity, which sought to develop and implement policies to address inequities across Minnesota. Additionally, his administration provided critical support to AANHPI-owned small businesses, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, by offering grants and resources to help them navigate economic challenges. He also stood against hate crimes against the AANHPI community, launching a discrimination hotline to help Minnesotans experiencing discrimination.
