Mitch McConnell's super PAC just bought $21.8 million in ads in North Carolina -- more than any other state.

Why? Because our Senate candidate, veteran Cal Cunningham, is narrowly ahead in polls.

Obviously our focus right now needs to be on keeping our families and communities safe. But this crisis has reaffirmed how much elections matter, and how important it is to elect smart, compassionate, and battle-tested leaders who will do the right thing in a crisis.

Cal is that kind of leader, and he needs our help. So I want to see if we can raise $21,800 today. It's an ambitious goal, but if enough of us pitch in, we'll get there.

If you can afford it, please split a $3 donation between Cal's campaign and my work fighting to take back the Senate. We need your help to flip this seat and end Mitch McConnell's majority.

It's clear that this is the race Republicans think will determine control of the Senate.

A Republican super PAC spent nearly $3 million trying to meddle in the Democratic primary. They wanted to force Cal to spend money and to stop him. He fought back and won anyway.

Now right as his general election is starting, Mitch McConnell's super PAC is dropping $21.8 million in outside spending.

McConnell and his allies are terrified -- and for a good reason. Cal is a great candidate, and if he wins his race, we can finally end McConnell's reign as majority leader.

So let's get Cal off to a strong start. Are you in?

Please split a $3 donation between Cal's campaign and mine to help us take back the Senate in 2020. Poll after poll shows Cal has a narrow lead, but he needs our help to get the job done.

I know times are tough right now, and it's moments like this that make it clear just how much Republican leadership in Washington has failed the working people of this country.

So thank you in advance for taking action and helping us win this race in North Carolina. And please stay strong and safe. Check-in on each other. We'll get through this together.

Every best wish,

Chris Murphy
