Dear Friend, In February of last year, the organization I started from a carriage house my grandfather built ousted me. Project Veritas was at its peak at the time, having just released a bombshell investigation into Pfizer and its dangerous COVID research. While those were the darkest days of my life, I knew my work had to continue. I developed a new passion for my lifelong career of being an undercover investigative journalist. Then, just when my new company, O'Keefe Media Group, was getting off the ground, the remaining board members of Project Veritas filed a federal lawsuit against me. The case remains active, and I'm asking for your help defending myself against this unjust attack designed to end my career. This week, I spent hours in a courtroom testifying in the case against me. I could have avoided it. I could have given in and settled, saving myself and, OMG, the risk and expense of a trial. But I will never compromise. I will never give in to the powers that try to silence me. As long as you have my back, I will NEVER surrender. This week's hearing was in response to an injunction Project Veritas filed against me. The primary demand they had requested from the court was to stop me from reaching out to Project Veritas donors. If you've previously donated to Project Veritas, that means you. Hundreds of thousands of Americans rightfully supported the organization I started. While I appreciated every hard-earned dollar that made my work possible, it is impossible for anyone to recall every name on such a massive list of supporters. If Project Veritas' request were upheld, I would be in violation of the court by sending you this email. Thankfully, the trial judge denied their motion, and my work and my communication with you continue. It was a massive victory for my amazing legal team, and I thank God for the result. A day after the ruling, Project Veritas posted on X saying, “What this ruling means is that we will now move on to mediation again – something we have attempted for over a year with James.” My response was clear before they posted that. I will never surrender as long as you are by my side in support. I pledge never to compromise our shared values and will go the distance to a jury verdict in ALL court cases against me.  I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
