Social media platforms like X are adding fuel to the racist fire that’s
engulfing British towns.

The UK government is deciding right now how to hold these companies to
account for their role. Let's show that people all over the world are
demanding action against the spread of right-wing hate.

John,

Far right extremists just unleashed a wave of violence across Ireland and
the UK. Mobs rampaging through towns and cities, burning down libraries
and food banks, and smashing in hotels that house terrified migrants.

Social media companies like X are aiding and abetting these extremists by
letting dangerous disinformation spread freely, giving far right leaders
and extremists a free pass to broadcast their hate and incite violence
online.

The UK government is deciding right now how to hold the social media
companies to account. Let's use this momentum and demand a public inquiry
into how Twitter and other tech companies fuelled the UK riots.

inquiry now

An array of online influencers, anti-Muslim extremists and fascist groups
have stoked unrest after a deadly knife attack on a children’s event in
northwestern England, killing three little girls.

Disinformation about the perpetrator being “an asylum-seeker” and “muslim”
spread across X and other social media like wildfire, leading to rioters
attacking mosques and even a hotel hosting migrants.

All this is only possible because execs from X, Telegram and other social
media giants are twiddling their thumbs while cashing in the profits from
amplifying the dis- and misinformation that are being spread. But the new
UK government could take hard measures against Elon Musk, Pavel Durov &
Co., especially if they feel massive global pressure. Join our urgent
call:

[ [link removed] ]UK government: Stop the spread of hateful disinformation NOW

Our movement has seized opportunities like this before and won – like when
this community mobilized and got Trump kicked off X after the January 6th
attempted coup at the US Capitol. Let’s beat hate once again, with our
collective people power.
