Journey to a stable, fulfilling career

Facebook Instagram

Elizabeth came to CMCA with a desire to work in healthcare but unsure of where to start. Because she was a SNAP recipient, she was eligible for our SkillUp program. CMCA covered her tuition ($3700), and Elizabeth pursued her certification in Medical Coding and Billing for Outpatient Services. While juggling family responsibilities, Elizabeth completed the program and found a job with a healthcare provider, earning $27 an hour.

CMCA rewarded Elizabeth with a $100 incentive for receiving her credential and another $100 for earning employment. As the greatest reward, though, Elizabeth enjoys a stable, fulfilling career that allows her to make a meaningful contribution to her family.

With a hand from CMCA, Elizabeth helped herself and her family.
