I was so excited to see the news that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been chosen as Kamala Harris’s running mate – because I know Tim. So before I ask you to split a donation between my campaign and the Harris-Walz campaign, I’d like to tell you a little bit about my friend Tim Walz.

As an OB/GYN who practices reproductive medicine in Minnesota, I’ve seen firsthand Governor Walz’s commitment to families, moms, and kids.

I was at the bill signing when he signed laws protecting people who need to travel to Minnesota for reproductive health care – including abortions – and banned so-called “conversion therapy.”

I know Tim has been a staunch supporter of protecting patients’ private health care decisions – because I’ve seen it up close.

It’s not just health care, either. Governor Walz has focused on providing meals for kids in schools – after spending years managing a high-school lunch room. He served as both the football coach and the faculty advisor of his school’s first-ever gay-straight alliance in 1999. He’s consistently been a voice for progress, and he’s exactly the right voice to join Vice President Harris on the ticket.
