Kamala Harris has chosen Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate! We now have our Democratic ticket.
Governor Walz will be a fierce advocate for working people in the White House. He has a track record of unifying people on issues that matter to all of us as someone who represented a swing district. He will stand up for our values and work across party lines for the good of the American people.
As governor, Tim Walz has fought for the working people of Minnesota. He signed a bill into law that guarantees free school breakfast and lunch for students regardless of family income. Minnesota was also the first state in the country to codify abortion rights after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade.
Governor Tim Walz has been a fighter for equality. He signed an executive order protecting transgender Minnesotans’ rights to gender affirming care. As a teacher at a high school, Walz helped found its very first Gay-Straight Alliance group.
Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz are the leaders we need in the White House.
