Vice President Kamala Harris chose Governor Tim Walz as her running mate today.

I’ve known Governor Tim Walz for years and know he has a long and powerful record that proves he’s a fighter and champion for Americans. As Governor of Minnesota, he brought a diverse coalition of people together to pass solutions that tackle the problems people were facing every day. It’s clear that he knows how to bring people together in order to deliver for Americans.

As someone who has always advocated for representation from the Heartland, I’m proud to see Governor Tim Walz running with Vice President Kamala Harris. He and John loved to spend time outdoors together and I know he will govern with empathy, compassion, and determination to move this nation forward with Vice President Kamala Harris.

It’s clear from her choice that Vice President Kamala Harris knows how critical voices from the Heartland are, not only to win this election, but for the future of America.
