John,

I never imagined my life would take me into politics, but the extremism of Donald Trump and his allies — particularly, his allies in Iowa — drove me to jump into the fight.

Iowa needs leaders on the state and national level that are fighting for us every day, not leaders who only fight for themselves. That's why I am so glad to see Vice President Kamala Harris running against Donald Trump, because I know she is fighting for you and me. Now with her new running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota — a fellow midwesterner — I am confident that we can beat Donald Trump and stand up to his extremism in November

I Stand Tall for All because Iowans deserve better than far-right ideologues and Republicans who care more about their national profile than the kids who go hungry when schools are closed for the summer.

Donald Trump and his cronies are bad news, but characters like Kim Reynolds and the far-right extremists in the state legislature aren't any better — they just make fewer headlines. Our rights, livelihoods, and futures are at stake in this election. We need to fight against extremism and build a better and brighter future, but that can only happen if we do it together.

That means not only electing Democrats like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in November, but also fighting for down-ballot candidates who are fighting for our rights here in Iowa.

Now is the moment for us to fight against extremism and build a lasting grassroots movement. So, will you chip in $11 to join the fight against extremism in Iowa and support down ballot Democrats?

Stand Tall for All,

J.D.
