It's official, John: Vice President Kamala Harris has named Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

Tim Walz is a fantastic partner for Vice President Harris to continue the progress the Biden-Harris administration has made.

As Governor of Minnesota, Walz oversaw one of the most productive legislative sessions in state history. A true champion for working families, he successfully fought for free school lunches across the state, enshrined the right to an abortion into state law, and required employers to offer paid family and medical leave. I know that he's ready to fight for all Americans as our next vice president.

The excitement on the ground about the Harris-Walz campaign is undeniable. With our democracy, our freedoms, and our livelihoods on the line, New Yorkers are ready to defeat Donald Trump and MAGA extremists up and down the ballot—including Mike Lawler here in New York's 17th District.
